What: 2014 Leopold Godowsky Jr. Color Photography awards

More info: The Leopold Godowsky, Jr. Color Photography Awards honor Leopold Godowsky, Jr., the co-inventor of Kodachrome film. Established by the Godowsky family in 1987 and held every four years, the awards recognize “achieved excellence in color photography.” For the 2014 awards, the PRC sought nominations from hundreds of photography experts around the world, including directors, gallery owners, curators, educators, and critics. What: The Search for and Discover of the World War II German Submarine U550 presented by The New
England Chapter of the Explorers Club.

More info: The presentation will range from historical events leading up to the battle which resulted in the singing of the American tanker Pan Pennsylvania and the German sub, to the multi year search for and subsequent discovery of the submarine.
